Privacy Policy (Québec Law 25)

1. Person in Charge of Personal Information

2. Purposes of Collection

We collect personal information solely to provide mobile mechanic booking, dispatch mechanics to your location, communicate appointment updates, verify repairs with before/after photos, and process secure payments.

3. Personal Information Collected

Information collected is limited to what is strictly necessary: name, telephone number, email address, service location address and postal code, vehicle identification (VIN, year, make, model), job description, and repair photos.

4. Passwordless Authentication

We do not store passwords. User authentication is conducted via temporary 6-digit one-time codes sent to your email, hashed using SHA-256 with a 10-minute expiry and attempt limiting.

5. Hosting, Storage and Third-Party Processors

Data is hosted within Canada (Fly.io Canadian region yyz in Toronto, Ontario). Repair photos are securely stored in Tigris object storage. Payment card details are processed directly by Stripe under PCI-DSS compliance; no credit card numbers ever touch or reside on our servers.

6. Cookies and Trackers

We use strictly necessary functional cookies only: 'mm_session' (encrypted session identifier, HttpOnly, 30 days) and 'mm_lang' (language preference, 1 year). We do not use third-party analytics cookies, advertising pixels, or marketing trackers.

7. Data Retention and Your Rights

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the service and legal tax obligations. Under Québec Law 25, you have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of your personal data by writing to the Privacy Officer.
